AUXILIARY
Holiday Special Gifts is truly a hallmark program for the Auxiliary. It seems to epitomize what we’re about – for it’s not just about fundraising for us, although that’s a primary focus. It’s also about giving from the heart and caring deeply about the people whom we serve and the challenging circumstances in which they may find themselves.
This past year, that mindset was borne out as Elise Klein, President of the North Shore Chapter, came to know one of our Holiday Special Gifts families, the Morenos*. Sofia Moreno, a young mother of two, had recently given birth to quadruplets (with no fertility treatment involved). Obviously, this would be a demanding situation under the best of circumstances – and unfortunately theirs were far from ideal.
