Healthy Steps 5k Run to Fund

Our Chapter is now gearing up for our annual
fundraising event! This year, we are happy to
announce “Healthy Steps 5k Run to Fund.”
This great event will take place on May 1st.
There will be a 5k race, a two-mile walk and
a .3 mile fun run for kids under 10.
Registration prior to the race is $35 and $40 the day of the race. Check-in for the race begins at 8:00 a.m. with the 5k beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Riverside Chapter has been hard at work these past few months. We had a fantastic ladies’ night out shopping event at Eye for Style in December. The event was so much fun that we have decided to book another shopping event for this year. So mark your calendars for November 18th!
In January, we donated over 20 handmade fleece hats and newborn
layettes to Child Development and Support Services. These were lovingly made by a local Girl Scout troop. We also honored the passing of Jan Polanski’s father with a memorial gift to IWS.
The Riverside Chapter has been very busy this spring. On May 1st, we welcomed over
100 people to Riverside to participate in our spring fundraiser, Healthy Steps 
5k
Race. Since this was a first-time event for our Chapter, we were delighted with its
success! We are definitely hoping for more participants next year on May 14, 2011,
so mark your calendars now.
The Chapter has scheduled our fall fundraiser entitled “Eye 4 Style” for November 18th. We hope you’ll call some girlfriends and make it a fun evening of shopping for some fantastic Christmas gifts (or perhaps something just for you) at incredibly low prices.
Our Chapter is continuing to provide the Clinic with layettes. And speaking of babies, we were delighted to welcome Ethan Louis Reyes, the son of our member, Gretchen Reyes. He was born on March 27th, and we congratulate Gretchen and Jay on their new arrival!
The Riverside Chapter’s first-ever Healthy Steps 5K fundraiser was a great success!
