In April, the North Shore Chapter hosted its 3rd Annual Easter and Mother's Day card-making activity for IWS patients and their children at the Clinic. Kids were encouraged to stop in the Community Room after their doctor’s visits to create personalized cards for their family. The tables were filled with thousands of awesome stickers as well as colorful card stock to make the perfect card for someone special. Many kids spent over an hour making several cards for each member of their family. And we were delighted to receive a thank you card from a family making cards that day!
In May, five of our members and their spouses attended the Celebrate the Children Centennial Angel Award Dinner. We enjoyed touring the Lake Forest Showhouse and mingling with guests before enjoying the evening’s festivities. Chris and Elise Klein made a significant donation during the "paddle raise" in support of the Clinic's centennial celebration -- a donation that was matched dollar for dollar with corporate funds from both Fortune Brands and Fortune Brands Home & Security. A wonderful time was had by all!
