‘Stoppin for Some Shoppin” Update
The North Shore Chapter hosted its 3rd Annual Stop in for Some Shoppin’ benefit at Sawbridge Studios in November. The evening event was a grand success with 75 guests in attendance to shop, dine and kick off the holiday season in style.

The North Shore Chapter started the new year with an August meeting to begin planning for our annual benefit. We are very excited to be hosting our third annual “Stop in for Some Shoppin” benefit at Sawbridge Studios in Winnetka. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 10 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. with tickets priced at $40. Sawbridge Studios will also be donating a percentage of the evening’s sales to the Infant Welfare Society Auxiliary.
Our benefit will debut the store’s newly expanded retail space. Our gracious hosts at Sawbridge will also feature lovely fall and holiday collections gathered from artisans around the country. Guests will be able to enjoy the company of good friends and fellow IWS supporters while getting a head start on their holiday shopping.
We hope many Auxiliary members will be able to join us for this always-fun event. It’s the perfect way to usher in the holiday season in style! For ticket information, contact Elise Klein by e-mail at: chrisjklein63@aol.com.
In keeping with a family tradition, Jack Klein had the Infant Welfare Society in mind during his recent Bar Mitzvah and made a wonderful donation to the Clinic as a result. He is the son of North Shore Chapter President Elise Klein and her husband, Chris.
Jack has known about IWS for several years thanks to his mother’s involvement, and he decided to use his Chicago White Sox-themed Bar Mitzvah as a way to donate items for the Clinic’s Child Development and Support Services area. He collected many toys, clothes, diapers, stuffed animals, etc. for IWS’ young patients. And all of the 20 centerpieces at his party were fi lled with items for the Clinic as well. The Kleins also donated five gift bags of goodies to the moms and new babies participating in IWS’ Mother/Infant Therapy Groups. Mazel Tov, Jack!

Jack is pictured here displaying some of the gifts he donated to IWS .
