For the IWS staff, serving patients is not a job - it’s a mission and passion to help children and women get the health care they need and deserve. IWS physicians, nurses, counselors and other health care providers, along with a seasoned administrative team, combine impressive professional credentials and education with a personal commitment to insure that patients are treated with dignity and compassion. Taking a multi-disciplinary, team approach, they treat the whole person and not just a medical condition.
IWS’s quality services are provided by a staff of more than 100 which includes 4 full-time physicians, 1 full-time pediatric nurse practitioners, 2 full-time and 7 part-time dentists, 2 dental hygienists, 4 social workers, as well as registered nurses and medical assistants.
Through contractual agreements, physicians and nurse midwives from Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, and Rush-Presbyterian also provide services at Infant Welfare.
