At our May meeting, we welcomed a guest speaker from the Clinic, Milagros Fernandez, the Director of Child Development and Support Services. She made an excellent presentation on the new Mother/Infant Therapy Groups that the Clinic offers. This innovative program has a very bright future due to the positive results the program has had to date. We extend our thanks to Milagros for an interesting and informative evening.
May is traditionally our “baby shower” month, and once again our members responded generously with their purchases for the little ones at the Clinic. How can we resist the adorable outfits and clothes available for infants and toddlers? We always enjoy viewing the display of donated clothes for the children and knowing how much they will be appreciated.
The Lisle/Naperville Chapter collaborated with the Wheaton Chapter to sponsor GardenScapes on June 25 and 26. It was a great success, and we anticipate it will become an annual event.
Plans continue for our annual fashion show and luncheon benefit that will take place November 20th. The theme is “Sharing Childhood Memories.” Committees have been organized and are beginning their preparations, so mark your calendars. Tickets sell quickly.

The Lisle/Naperville chapter is sponsoring the
Ice Cream Social
at the
Naperville Municipal Band Concert
The band plays at the Naperville band shell which is just off of Washington St. and Benton Ave. in downtown Naperville. The band’s concerts are held every Thursday night at 7:30 pm during the summer and offer non-profit organizations the opportunity to sponsor the ice cream social during the concerts as a fund raiser for their organizations.
The Lisle/Naperville chapter was fortunate to be chosen to sponsor the concert on July 29 . . . "A Night Under the Stars". All auxiliary members are invited to come listen to the music and support Infant Welfare by buying ice cream, baked goods, hot dogs, popcorn and beverages. Come join us for a night of music and a nice piece of pie!!
