Once again this year, our Chapter relied on a proven -- and innovative -- method to raise money for the Clinic during the summer. For the past (?) years, we’ve been given permission to use several parking lots in conjunction with Lisle’s “Eyes to the Skies” 4th of July festival. So during the event this year held on July 1st – 3rd, our members directed festival guests to those lots and raised money for IWS by charging parking fees. Fortunately, we had very good weather and a great turnout for the festival. Many of our Chapter members and their families volunteered in shifts each day throughout this popular Independence Day celebration. We are gratified that we continue to support our community’s 4th of July festivities each year, and that we are able to raise money for the Clinic in the process!
Our members are getting excited as plans come together for our annual luncheon/fashion show. This year’s event, “Puttin’ on the Glitz,” is scheduled for November 19th at the Lisle/Naperville Hilton. Chairmen Carolyn Bowman and Sue Lamb tell us it will be celebration befitting the Clinic’s centennial year! As always, it will include our fantastic raffles, a wonderful silent auction, and a walk down the runway by many of our Chapter’s family members -- traditionally a highlight of the day’s events. Our members work very hard to make this a great day, and we encourage you to attend!

The Lisle/Naperville Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Auxiliary is delighted to announce that Judy Hsu will emcee our upcoming fashion show/luncheon, “Puttin’ on the Glitz” on Saturday, November 19th at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville.
Judy is the award-winning anchor of ABC7 News This Morning, the # 1 rated morning news show in Chicago. She joined ABC7 in 2001. In addition to her anchor responsibilities, she reports for ABC7’s daily newscasts and hosts a parenting segment on the morning show, “For Your Family.” Her reporting and anchoring have garnered her several Emmy nominations and awards.
