IWS CLINIC FLOOD RELIEF ONLINE DONATION »

The Lake Forest Chapter sponsored its 13th biennial Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens April 25 through May 17, 2009. Twenty-nine of the nation’s top interior designers and seven leading landscape architects transformed a fabulous Georgian estate, Lansdowne, utilizing the finest fabrics, furnishings and plantings in creative design solutions. Our Chapter President, Linda Frazier, Chairmen Margaret Brodeur and Anne Patel, and all our members extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the event. We also wish to send a special thank you to Tiffany & Co. for its sponsorship of the opening night Benefactors Dinner.

It was our great pleasure to honor Posy Krehbiel that evening. A 25-year member of our Chapter, Posy was recognized as the first recipient of the Angel Award that acknowledges an individual for extraordinary community service.  Another strong supporter of the Showhouse this year was Harris Bank, our Preview Party sponsor. “Boogie on the Bluff ” attracted over 650 guests who enjoyed the magnificent setting, great food, fun, the company of good friends and fantastic music by Derrick and the Turnstyles.

Charlotte Moss, a renowned lifestyle and home décor authority, addressed a sell-out crowd of more than 350 guests on April 22. Her talk was entitled, The Muse in Design: Great Women of Style. Charlotte also signed copies of her latest book, A Flair For Living, after her presentation. In addition, she made a generous personal donation to the Showhouse. This event was sponsored by Lake Forest Bank & Trust Co.
