Our Chapter members spent the summer preparing for our Win, Place, and Show for the Children benefit at Arlington Park Racetrack on September 18th, and their efforts resulted in a very profitable fundraiser for the Clinic and a fun event for all our guests. The day included grandstand tickets, an open bar and a delicious buffet -- not to mention a bird's eye view of the races! We were very proud of our Silent Auction and Grand Raffle. Each year, our members work diligently to offer a diverse and exciting selection of prizes to tempt our guests, and given the reaction of those in attendance, they succeeded in doing so! The auction and raffle included gourmet food and wine baskets, restaurant and hotel certificates, sports tickets and memorabilia, toys and children's items, auto detailing and vacation packages.
We felt this celebration was especially noteworthy in that it fell in the Clinic’s centennial year. Our Chapter joins all Auxiliary members in recognizing this remarkable accomplishment. We are proud to support IWS as it commemorates a century of service to Chicago’s women and children in need, and we look forward to the start of its second century of care!
