Our members showed their community spirit by volunteering at the annual Daisy Dash 5K and Kids Fun Run held on Father’s Day. Historically, this longstanding event has supported multiple charities. This year, in appreciation of our past support, our Chapter received a portion of the proceeds. It was a wonderful day to get out and enjoy summer fun with hundreds of Clarendon Hills’ families.
With summer coming to an end, our Chapter is in full gear finalizing plans for our annual benefit, The Centennial Celebration Gala. This spectacular event will be held at the Union League Club in Chicago on October 22nd. The diligent work of our Chairmen, Jackie Anglin and Melanie Tatum, and their committees will surely make this benefit a success and a night to remember. Our Chapter’s kick-off meeting was held on August 29th at the home of our new President, Pam Diltz. As we look ahead, there is a lot of great energy as our members focus their efforts on behalf of the Clinic. And, of course, this year there is even more reason to take pride in all that we do for IWS as we join the Clinic in celebrating its centennial year of service to our city’s women and children in need.
