The At-Large Chapter met on November 4th, and we welcomed three new members, Bringing our roster to 19 members. We extend a warm welcome to–Maria Enright, Harriet Wilson-Ellis and Barbara Wing. We are diligently working to build our Chapter membership, and we are excited about the prospect of welcoming new friends of Infant Welfare. Our initial activities have focused on “friendraising” as we collect ideas to support the efforts of the Auxiliary and the Clinic.

Friendraising efforts will include small group meetings both in the city and suburbs to encourage new members to join. Our events will include both daytime and evening meetings.

Our next meeting is planned for early in 2010, and it will be held in the southern suburbs. Our first official order of business was to reconsider the name “At Large Chapter”. Some of our members thought the name was descriptive, while others felt it wasn’t unique. After reviewing several suggestions and further discussions, we voted to change our name to

Ambassadors at-Large. The next step is to make the name change offi cial by changing our By-laws, voting on the proposed new By-laws and sending them to the Auxiliary Executive Committee for their approval.

We are all excited to be a part of this growing Chapter with impressive goals. For more information: contact Patty Giovacchini at pgio@avantegc.com.
